OTHER WAYS TO GIVE

You can impact in the life of a child in many ways. All paths lead to a youngster in Detroit receiving a private school education based on a strong moral compass.

Donations made by individuals or families can be applied to a specific program – say music, a sports event– or a planned gift.

Larger entities can be creative with their giving. For instance, some provide our young people with real business training and experience through internships.

Organizations can also support the children of Cornerstone by sponsoring events, and attending one or more events as corporate outings.

We appreciate any support, be it a one-time donation or a legacy gift. You’ll find a variety of options below – one of our representatives would be happy to discuss the possibilities.

Unique Giving Options

Cornerstone partners with Strategic Stewardship Partners, a firm that specializes in helping people maximize the impact of their charitable giving. They will work with you to support Cornerstone without impacting your checking or savings account balance.

Strategic Stewardship Partners can help you avoid capital gains taxes, significantly reduce income tax, create a legacy, and much more.

Cornerstone Internship Sponsor

A unique way for companies, foundations and individuals to provide a career-building gift to a Leadership & Business High School student. Sponsoring an internship helps defray a student’s educational costs and provide him or her with hands-on, professional experience throughout the school year.

Internship providers help demonstrate potential career paths for young men and women as they mature into future leaders. Our vision is that these connections offer future employment opportunities to our students – and provide a capable, talented workforce.

The Cornerstone Schools Scholarship Endowment Fund

The fund has been established by the Cornerstone Schools Board of Directors to help sustain the work of Cornerstone Schools; to make it possible for children to attend Cornerstone for years to come; and, to secure a legacy of impact for donors beyond their lives.

Donors who wish to designate their gift to honor a person or organization may do so with Board approval. Our goal is to raise $5M by July 31, 2016.

Vision of Excellence Program

This program was created to bring educational concepts to life for our students through partnerships with corporate, family, and civic organizations.

Sponsor organizations create impact by integrating their values, history, and philosophies into a classroom. This deepens understanding of the lessons the students learn while bringing meaning to the world around them.
