Pistons Scholars.

Thank you for supporting our Pistons Scholars

The 2011 Pistons Scholars Night at the Palace on Saturday, February 26th was a fun-filled, action-packed evening.  This event rewarded more than 600 Cornerstone and Cornerstone Charter students in 1st – 8th grade who excelled in academics, citizenship, punctuality and extra-curricular activities.

This was a big night for the Cornerstone Schools community with more than 2,000 Pistons Scholars, parents, teachers, staff, alumni, partners and friends in the arena.  The Cornerstone honors choir, under the direction of Eric Gardner, performed a memorable rendition of the National Anthem.  Forty Pistons Scholars welcomed the Detroit Pistons onto the court in “high five tunnels” before the game and at halftime.

At halftime, our President and CEO, Ms. Ernestine Sanders, joined a select group of Middle School students at center court who showed how they achieved excellence in Cornerstone’s challenging curriculum and are finding large and small ways to make the world a better place.

We are grateful to our many partners and friends who made this event possible by honoring our Pistons Scholars through sponsorships and donations.  This event yields terrific experiences for our community and much-needed scholarship support for our students.

Thank you to Karen Davidson, Detroit Pistons, and The Palace of Auburn Hills for making our 5th Annual Pistons Scholars Night great!

We hope you will join us next year at the 6th Annual Pistons Scholars Night at the Palace.
