Back to School with Cornerstone!
More than 400 friends attended school and joined Cornerstone students on June 3rd for our Back to School event hosted by WDIV and WJR. The event provided guests an opportunity to meet the children, participate in an interactive classroom activity and donate to Cornerstone Schools, who is helping change Detroit one child at a time.
News anchors and Cornerstone partners Devin Scillian and Rhonda Walker were on hand for the day. Both participated in various classroom activities with the students and friends and were featured live throughout the day on WDIV. Paul W. Smith of WJR radio prompted listeners to attend the event and join in the fun. Many community leaders were on hand to share and learn new lessons. It was truly an exciting day at Cornerstone’s Nevada campus!
