I love working with a wonderful group of Partners and friends that want to support Cornerstone children and young people in a variety of ways.
What is special about Cornerstone, in your opinion?
We have a beautiful mission that is helping to build a Complete Life for the students that we serve.
What policy/programs or best practices have you implemented (on your own or with a team) that you are most proud of?
Over the past 17 years, I have been blessed to work on so many wonderful programs to help provide funding and vital resources for our Cornerstone children. From building event partnerships with the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Pistons to securing high school internships with corporate partners, as well as bringing speakers to share their career advice and to inspire students, to helping recruit people for our volunteer opportunities. We are always looking for ways to help our students grow and to build life skills.
Anything else you’d like to add
One of our Partners said to me years ago, “Cornerstone is an oasis in the city.” That comment has always resonated with me. We do important work in the city, and I’m proud to serve on our awesome team!
